well i hope to use proxy site to open you tube here in china.i can use other proxy but the problem is the video is not loading. Sad

Try hidemyass.com - it works a lot of times for me.

This is really now a place to discuss that but so far I only have one member who wanted a free proxy hosting which is still not worth doing. If we could get atleast 10-20 members that will be interested in this then we will proceed with the project.

Definatly no, it's just a waste of bandwidth, use a good proxy like hidemyass or adfreeproxy. The Free hosts that allow proxies disable it in a few weeks...

The thing I would love to see/do is to have a proxy that truely does some good encryption idk if it would require java or what, but I know that our school's hardware identifies alot of different proxy mechanisms and simply stops them by their detection methods of similarity.

Like what kind of proxy would you be talking about, like a glype set up?
I wouldn't really want to use up the bandwidth, but then again, I dont really expect be us using it much anyways.

Is this to better promote quotaless, is there any gain on yourside/myside of the deal, or is there only loss.

Also there's really no seen gain in a proxy site unless you have some kind of ad system on it, and is that alright with the rules to have ads on a site hosted through you guys?

I guess the main idea though is to get ads up and then try adding your self to the numerous proxy sites out there, then keep it up (lol) also providing "affiliate proxies" links to the other people here that would be running proxies to keep them in the domain of us.

(sorry it's late I'm going crazy, but hopefully this makes sense, or something : \ )
